Akron Auto Auction Receives SmartAuction Award

Akron Auto Auction has been recognized by Ally, earning  SmartAuction's Greatest Year-Over-Year Sales Growth Award for 2016. In honor of the auction's achievement, two representatives from Ally visited the auction to make the award presentation: Brent Ramels (Senior Account Manager Independent Auctions, Ally), and Kevin Valimont (Sales Operations, Director, Ally).

"Since our first year with SmartAuction in 2010, the online platform has become invaluable tool for us, allowing us to help customers expand the market for their vehicles and maximize resale values."

Bailey notes that in 2010, 100 vehicles from Akron Auto Auction were posted to SmartAuction. Volume has been increasing steadily, with the auction recording a 254% increase in volume in 2016 over the prior year. 

Akron Auto Auction is a member of the ServNet Auction Group and has played an important role in the market for seventy years, incorporating service, commitment and innovation to produce superior results for its customers. The auction runs six lanes with four separate buildings on 30 acres. The facility includes a full transportation department, reconditioning department, inspection department, and floor planning services. Each Tuesday, an average of 1,200 vehicles cross the block, including consignments from banks, fleet/lease companies and GSA, as well as vehicles from new and used car dealers from all over the Midwest. The auction also leads the industry in remarketing vehicles online, earning awards from OVE.com and SmartAuction.
