Bel
Air Auto Auction Celebrates Autumn with a 72% Sale
Brilliant autumn colors and a chill in the air set the stage
for Bel Air
Auto Auction’s 35th
annual Harvest and Classic Car Sale,
held on
October 9th.
With more than 1,350 vehicles crossing the block and 1,250
registered d ealers
in attendance, there was plenty of excitement and bidding activity,
culminating in a 72% sale.
“Our
Harvest and Classic Car sale has been one of the highlights of our
auction calendar, and this year’s event was no exception,” said
Michelle Nichols-Neff, Vice President of Marketing for Bel Air Auto
Auction. “We had an
excellent selection of vehicles, an enthusiastic crowd, great
prizes, fun activities and good food, all of which resulted in a
sale that was nothing short of a hit for buyer and sellers alike.”
Capturing
the attention of the dealers in attendance were more than 75 classic
vehicles. In addition,
the event featured consignments from Bank of America, PHH, ARI,
Enterprise
, MileOne Automotive, Jones Junction, BMW of Towson, Hertrich Group,
IG Burton, Lindsay Automotive, Boyle Buick, Cook Volkswagen,
Northwest Honda, Adams Automotive and more.
Auction
customers were treated to pumpkin pie and cider and participated in
the auction’s traditional “Pumpkin Smash” at the conclusion of
the sale. Nichols noted that the auction gave away more $4,000 in
gift cards, which dealers won by tossing pumpkins containing the
prizes at a target.
Bel
Air Auto Auction has been established for more than sixty
years and is the flagship auction of the BSCAmerica Auction Group.
During that time, it has grown to become the largest independent
dealer auto auction in the State of
Maryland
selling more than 50,000 vehicles annually. The auction is also a
