Dealers "Strike
it Rich" at Brasher's Northwest and Cascade Auto Auctions
The
Gold Rush of '49 may be alive only in the history books, but auto
dealers headed for Oregon in May and June in the hopes of striking
it rich at Brasher's Northwest and Cascade Auto Auctions. Launching
a joint promotion on May 28, the two auctions offered dealers a Gold
Rush Scratch Ticket for every vehicle bought between May 28 and June
19. Qualifying tickets were entered into the grand prize drawing on
June 19 for a $5,000 Vi sa
Gold Card.
"This
promotion was a real crowd-pleaser at both the auctions," said
Cascade Sales Manager Rob Wassom. "It brought more buyers
and more sellers into the lanes over the four-week period and
encouraged many dealers to buy at both auctions in the same week. As
a matter of fact, we distributed more than 5,000 of the scratch
cards during the promotion, which far outreached our original
estimates."
Brasher's
Northwest Auto Auction in Eugene, OR holds a sale every Wednesday at
9:30 am. Brasher's Cascade Auto Auction in Portland holds its weekly
sale on Thursdays at 9 am. The sister auctions are within 2-1/2
hours of each other via Interstate 5.
Wassom
explained that some of the scratch tickets resulted in immediate
prizes for the holders; others qualified dealers for the grand prize
drawing. Immediate prizes include auction fee credits, hats, gift
cards, free auction meals, discounted recon services, and extended
floats for qualified dealers.
"One
of our dealers definitely struck gold at the end of the
promotion," said Wassom. "Johnny Ephrem of JB Motors left
the auction on the 19th with a Visa Gold Card worth $5,000!"
