DAA/OKC Hosts Sweet Sale in Time for Valentine's Day
Dealers
Auto Auction of Oklahoma City hosted the "sweetest" sale
of the year on February 11, offering 990 vehicles and multiple
chances for buyers to win gifts that promised to make a good
impression on their sweethearts on Valentine's Day.
DAA/OKC's
sale included vehicles from a number of fleet/lease and
institutional consignors, including GMAC Financial Services, GMAC
SmartLane, Enterprise Holdings, Auto Advance Finance, Avis Budget
Group, LK Auto Remarketing, Thrifty, Alamo, Hertz, Budget and
Remarketing Services of America.
"The
market is on an upswing, and dealers are motivated to buy,"
said DAA/OKC General Manager Bruce Beam. "We 'sweetened' the
deal for several lucky customers with gifts and prizes that came
along just in time for Valentine's Day!"
Beam
explained that HSBC, AmeriCredit and GMAC all offered prize drawings
for buyers in their lanes. Dealers purchasing from HSBC qualified
for drawings for two diamond necklaces. AmeriCredit buyers were
entered into a drawing for a Pandora bracelet. Every dealer buying
in the GMAC lane received a box of chocolates and were entered into
a sale-end drawing for another diamond necklace.

More
than 700 dealers attended the Valentine's Sale at DAA/OKC.
A number of lane promotions and a grand prize drawing made the
sale extra "sweet" for several dealers: Grand Prize
Winner (top, left): United Auto Sales who left the sale with a
voucher for a weekend stay at the Hyatt Regency, a 200 Vista
Gift card and a giant box of Ghirardelli chocolates; (center)

"The
lane promotions added a lot of excitement to the sale, and set the
stage for our grand prize drawing at the end of the day," said
Beam. "Every dealer buying that day qualified for a chance to
win a great Valentine's Package: a $200 voucher for a stay at the
Hyatt Hotel, a $200 Visa Cash Card for dinner and entertainment, and
a big box of chocolate to top it all off. The winner was thrilled…and
so was his Valentine!"
Beam
reports that 702 buyers attended the Valentine's Sale at DAA/OKC,
and that the auction posted an overall sales rate of 62.5% by day's
end.
