DAA OKC Introduces Franchise Dealer Sale, August Promotion for Avis/Budget Group

Dealers Auto Auction of Oklahoma City (DAA/OKC) has announced an important addition to its weekly sale lineup, as it introduces a new Franchise Dealer Trade Sale. The sale debuts on Tuesday, September 1 at 10:00 am and will be held every week at DAA/OKC. All registered dealers are welcome to purchase the new car dealer trades featured in this sale. 

"Our new car dealers are really excited about consigning vehicles to this new sale," said auction general manager Bruce Beam. "With its own sale day (Tuesday), we'll effectively double the exposure for these vehicles, which can also run at our regular Thursday sale. We're expecting an exciting inaugural sale in September!" 

Beam said that DAA/OKC is planning to offer more than 200 units on two lanes at the first sale on September 1, but anticipates the volume to grow rapidly. 

"With the market showing encouraging signs of improvement in the new car sector and the increasingly strong demand for used vehicles, our Franchise Dealer Trade Sale is already causing quite a stir among our customers. Presale buzz has prepared us to open up to four lanes for the Franchise Dealer Trade Sale, with up to 500 units a week," said Beam. 

Dealers attending the sale on September 1st will start the day with sausage biscuits for breakfast, and will be treated to hotdogs and hamburgers for lunch. All vehicles in the sale will be available online as well, via Pipeline Simulcast. 

Beam explained that both buyers and sellers will benefit from the Franchise Dealer Trade Sale, which will feature a flat $150 buy and sell fee. 

"We're also offering some great transport incentives for this sale, including free pickup," said Beam. "And, we're so confident that these cars will move, that we'll return any vehicles that don't sell by week's end at no charge. It's our way of 'giving back' to our loyal new car dealers for their years of patronage at DAA/OKC." 

Leading up to the launch of the additional sale day in September, DAA/OKC is holding a special promotion during the month of August for the Avis/Budget Group. Beam reports that every dealer buying from Avis/Budget in August will receive one entry for an exciting drawing a month's end. 

"This is a great month to buy from Avis/Budget," said Beam. "Online buyers will pay no online fees, and every purchase earns a dealer an entry into a Visa Cash Card drawing. At the end of August, we'll tally all the entries, and top three buyers will receive Visa Cash Cards: $500 for the top buyer, $250 for the second-highest buyer, and $150 for the third-highest buyer" 

Avis/Budget runs every Thursday in August at DAA/OKC. 

Opened in 1988 by owner and president Gary Smith, DAA/OKC hosts a GM Factory Sponsored Auction every other Thursday at Noon, and a regular consignment sale every Thursday at 8:30 am. Located on 125 acres, the auction includes 11 auction lanes, a full service restaurant, and over 130,000 square feet of recon, mechanical and body/paint shop facilities. Offering 1,200 to 1,500 vehicles at its weekly sales, DAA/OKC delivers the highest sales percentage of any independent auction in the region.
