Buyers, Sellers Scream “Happy Anniversary” at
Flint
Auto Auction
Flint Auto Auction will mark 56 years in
business on June 24th, with a gala anniversary sale that will feature
more than 1,900 vehicles, prize drawings and free ice cream to
everyone in attendance. Auction
owners Bill Williams and John Luce expect to welcome more than 1,000
dealerships to the sale, which will feature vehicles from GMAC and
AVIS/Budget Group, as well as 600 units from Chrysler Financial.
Luce explained that preparations for the
Anniversary Sale began in early June, when the auction began donating
$1 for every car sold into a jackpot, and buyers and sellers names
were added to the drawing each time they bought or sold at one of the
weekly auctions. At the conclusion of the anniversary sale on the 24th,
one buyer and one seller will split the cash that has accumulated
throughout the month. In addition, buyers of Chrysler Financial
vehicles that day will qualify for the sale-end drawing for $500 Cash
and golf vacation at
Boyne
Mountain
.
“We’re planning for a great day of
buying and selling, and lots of fun at our anniversary sale,” said
Williams. “And there’s
nothing that says ‘fun’ like ice cream on a summer’s day.
Being able to celebrate 56 years in business is a milestone for
Flint
, but, more importantly, it is our opportunity to thank our customers
for their support over the years.
It is their loyalty that has contributed to our success and
longevity, and we’re planning this event to celebrate together on
June 24th at Flint Auto Auction.”
Bill Williams and John Luce are the third
generation owners of the Flint Auto Auction which ran 120 vehicles at
its first sale in 1953. Today, the auction averages more than 1,500
vehicles at its weekly Wednesday consignment sale. Flint Auto Auction
also holds a GM Sponsored closed factory auction every other week on
Wednesday, offering an average of 400 vehicles per sale and welcoming
250 GM dealers, who buy both in the lane and online. Flint
was named the #1 auction in the country for General Motors in 2007 and
2008.
A member of ServNet, Flint Auto Auction
