Miran Returns to Brasher's Idaho Auto Auction
Brasher's
Idaho Auto Auction has announced that industry veteran Tory Miran
has joined the auction staff as head of national accounts
sales.
"We're
thrilled to welcome Tory back 'home' to the Idaho Auto
Auction," said auction owner and general manager Doug Brasher,
noting that Miran spent ten years at the Idaho Auto Auction prior to
the Brashers' ownership of the facility, from 1997 to 2007.
"Tory
helped build the Idaho Auto Auction into a top-notch facility, and
developed strong relationships that our auction continues to enjoy
today. We're excited to work with him as we continue growing our
customer base and leading the market as an auction offering superior
service and superior results," said Brasher.
Miran
has worked in the auction industry since 1996, when he joined
Auction Finance Group, located in Miami, Florida, as the company's
representative in the Northwest Region. Approximately a year later,
he went to work for Idaho Auto Auction where he spent the next ten
years, serving initially as the fleet/lease manager. In 2001 he was
named Assistant General Manager, and in 2003 he was promoted to
General Manager. In 2008 he moved to the nation's heartland to work
with ServNet's Kansas City Independent Auto Auction as its general
manager.
"Being
back in Idaho is a tremendous opportunity for me and my
family," said Miran. "I thoroughly enjoyed working with
the staff at KCI, our fellow ServNet auction, but the snow and
mountains are in my blood, and I appreciate being able to come home
to family, friends and the spectacular surroundings here in
Boise."
"The
auction business is an exciting one, and I'm particularly pleased to
be working with the Brasher family, with their years of experience
and unsurpassed reputation in the industry," Miran said.
"As we move forward after last year's challenges in the
marketplace, we're all sharpening our saws, to do all we can to
serve our customers and provide them with the tools they need for a
successful outcome in 2010."
Miran
notes that he will travel extensively, representing Brasher's Idaho
Auto Auction at various industry conferences and national account
meetings, as well as in face to face meetings with national account
representatives.
Brasher's
Idaho Auto Auction holds a dealer consignment sale every Thursday
starting at 9:00 am, and a General Motors Factory sale on Thursdays
at Noon. The auction operates with the Auction Pipeline technology
platform which delivers live auction lane bidding online and
provides market reports of auction sale results and available
inventory while allowing dealers to source vehicles from independent
auto auctions nationwide.
