CORRECT!
It's
Big-Game Hunter, Rob Brasher!
It
happened ten years ago, while Rob was on a hunting safari with his
dad (Jay Brasher) and his brothers. Although they were indeed
staulking hippos, they got too close to one hippo's home, and it
charged right out of
the water to chase the hunters away.
According
to Rob, hippos keep a strict watch over their territories and
threaten anyone who invades them. With teeth are as sharp as razor
blades, the aggressive animals weigh up to two tons and have been
known to reach speeds of up to 30mph on land. In spite of their
docile appearance as they float in an African river and the fact
they are actually vegetarians that feed exclusively on grass, hippos
are responsible for killing more people than any other African
animal.
His
experience with the hippo left Rob a little more cautious, but
undaunted, and he has returned to Africa on numerous occasions for
the excitement of the safari. Rob's first hunt was with his dad when
he was four or five years old; since that time he has also traveled
to Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Europe and South America on hunting
trips.
Anyone
who has visited Brasher's Salt Lake Auto Auction knows that the
Brasher family enjoys hunting. The hunting trophies that adorn
lobby, corridors and offices at the auction number in the hundreds,
all reminders of the time that three generations of Brashers have
spent on the trail.
"The
experience of being outdoors in some of the world's most amazing
landscapes with the family is the best part of the hunt," says
Rob. "Hunting with my dad and grandfather were memorable
experiences for me, and I'm enjoying hunting with my own boys
now."
