“As our auction customers get to know these extraordinary men and women, we think they will agree that their energy, passion, and creativity – both at the auction and outside the auction - make them outstanding business partners."

How Well Do You Know the ServNet Owners?

How well do you know the ServNet auction owners?  Most of them cut their teeth on the business when they were old enough to push brooms or polish the hoods of the cars on the auction lot. You’ve talked with them at industry events; you may even have visited their facilities, met members of the auction staff, or sat in their offices for face-to-face visits.  But do you know which owner is also a race car driver? A rock star? A big-game hunter?

The answers to these burning questions and more can be found on ServNet’s website: www.servnetauctions.com, and are an outgrowth of ServNet’s “Meet the Owners” campaign which was begun in 2008.  Last year, ServNet held four “Meet the Owners” functions as part of ServNet’s 20th anniversary events, where national remarketers met directly with the ServNet owners in Dallas, Detroit, Chicago and Newport Beach. This year, auction customers will get to know even more about these successful, remarkable people as they share little known facts about themselves in a series of national ads and supporting pages on ServNet’s website.

“This year’s ‘Know the Owners’ campaign is a logical next step following last year’s ‘Meet the Owners’ sessions,” explains ServNet President Keith Lelux, who noted that the idea originated with John Brasher who encouraged fellow auction owners to share their ‘behind the scenes’ stories. “As our auction customers get to know these extraordinary men and women, we think they will agree that their energy, passion, and creativity – both at the auction and outside the auction - make them outstanding business partners.”

Lelux explained that the “Meet the Owners” sessions begun last year were designed to forge stronger relationships and facilitate communication between the ServNet owners and consignors. During each of the four sessions held around the country, ServNet Auction owners shared their personal auto auction stories and histories.

Said Dave Nagy of Emkay Leasing at the Chicago meeting in June, "It was very interesting to hear how these entrepreneurs got into the auto auction business and how their operations developed, sometimes from generation to generation."

Added Darrin Aiken of Wheels, Inc. "You really felt the passions and commitment these auction owners have for their businesses and how seriously they take the stewarding of our companies' vehicle assets.”

“With this new twist to our “Meet the Owners” program, our remarketing partners will develop a whole new appreciation for the ServNet owners,” said Lelux. “You can’t help but admire someone who has personally auctioned hundreds of thousands of cars, and who can resist doing business with someone who has defended himself against a charging hippopotamus?”
