Plans "Meet the Owners" Event in Los Angeles
The ServNet
Auction Group has set the date for its fourth "Meet the Owners"
event of 2008, which will be held in Southern California on Wednesday,
December 3rd at the Marriott Newport Beach Hotel.. The "Meet the Owners"
functions have
been part of ServNet's 20th Anniversary events, and are designed to
showcase the strength, heritage and capabilities of the ServNet member
auctions in a format that connects the nation's remarketers directly with
the ServNet owners.
Earlier this year, "Meet the Owners" events were
held in Dallas, Chicago and Detroit. At each "Meet The
Owners" session, three different ServNet Auction owners share
their personal auto auction stories and histories with the group.
Said Dave Nagy of Emkay Leasing at the Chicago meeting in June, " It
was very interesting to hear how these entrepreneurs got into the auto
auction business and how their operations developed, sometimes from
generation to generation." .
Added Darrin Aiken of Wheels, Inc. "You really felt the passions and
commitment these auction owners have for their businesses and how
seriously they take the stewarding of our companies' vehicle
assets."
ServNet owner and NAAA President Bob McConkey explained that having the
ServNet owners meet directly with major consignors not only strengthens
relationships but reinforces the value of the ServNet brand.
"Face-to-face, decision makers can share new ideas, resolve industry
issues, and address service concerns on the spot," said
McConkey.
"ServNet auction owners are not just very successful entrepreneurs
with thriving businesses of their own; they serve as industry partners for
the nation's top remarketers, handling millions of dollars in inventory
for the national accounts," noted Pierre Pons, ServNet CEO. "The
'Meet the Owners' sessions help forge even stronger relationships and
facilitate communication between the owners and consignors, all of which
helps to move business forward."
