Mid-State Auto Auction, New York Mills, MN is Newest ServNet Auctions Member

ServNet president Keith Lelux reports that ServNet continues to expand its geographic footprint across the United States, with the addition of Mid-State Auto Auction of New York Mills, Minnesota to its member roster. Lelux made the announcement at a June 11th Meet The Owners Session of ServNet owners and national account representatives held in Chicago.

"I am very pleased to report that ServNet will be represented in the upper Midwest by the Mid-State Auto Auction in New York Mills, Minnesota," said Lelux. "As a family-run organization with strong core values and a commitment to customer service, Mid-State Auto Auction is a leader in its region. Owners Bob and Rob Thompson bring a vast wealth of knowledge and expertise to the ServNet owners' table, and we look forward to working with them even more closely as we continue to expand ServNet's presence in the marketplace."

Mid-State Auto Auction was founded in 1983 by Robert E. Thompson. His first auction sale ran 34 cars in a one-lane outdoor auction located in a creamery. In 1986 his son, Rob, joined him in the business after completing college, and in 2003 the Thompsons built a new auction facility on 68 acres. Today they oversee an ultra-modern, four-lane facility serving dealers from across the United States. Mid-State Auto Auction is located approximately 150 miles northwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul, and welcomes new and used car dealers, fleet/lease accounts, banks and finance companies to its weekly Friday auction sales.

"Joining ServNet is a very exciting move for us. We have long admired the ServNet auction owners, having watched their own businesses grow and thrive over the years," said Bob Thompson, Mid-State Auto Auction's CEO. "We've also observed with some interest the growth of ServNet's influence in the marketplace, with its dedication to service, its commitment to best practices, and its focus on developing technology initiatives that enhance both sides of the auction transaction. We're proud to be associated with ServNet, and believe that our clients as well as our auction will benefit from our expanded network opportunities."

ServNet continues its plans to expand, and has added four new auction locations since the first of the year: Pittsburgh Independent Auto Auction, BSC America's Bel Air Auto Auction and Tallahassee Auto Auction, and now Mid-State Auto Auction.

ServNet CEO Pierre Pons said that "Expanding the group's geographic footprint was identified as an important focus for 2008. We continue to actively identify and visit the strongest independent auctions in regions of the country where the group seeks stronger marketplace representation." Pons anticipates that ServNet will continue expanding its auction membership throughout 2008.
