Specialty Sale Breaks Records, Checkered Flag Sale Heats up Lanes at Brasher's Northwest Auto Auction.

Records were smashed on August 13th at Brasher's Northwest Auto Auction's Specialty Sale. Attendance, consignment, sales and single-dollar coach sales records (most of which had been set earlier this year) were all broken at the event, which posted an 83% sales rate. 

Overall attendance at the Specialty Sale reached 573 dealers, both in the lanes and online, setting a record for the auction. Attending online were 138 dealers, another auction record. A total of 473 total RV, Marine and Powersport units were consigned to sale, with 391 of those units selling. In addition, more high-dollar units sold than ever before, including several units over $200,000 and one unit well over $400,000. 

"It was a very good day here at Brasher's Northwest Auto Auction," said a very pleased General Manager, Lisa Larkin. 

Following the record-breaking Specialty Sale were two of Brasher's Northwest's hottest days of the year: the 4th Annual Checkered Flag Sale on August 19th and 20th. The event kicked off Tuesday afternoon with Go Cart Racing, Racing Simulators and Arcade Games. Tuesday Night, dealers and guests sat down to an all-you-can-eat buffet dinner catered by Mac's Catering of Eugene. Following dinner, Kendall Auto Group, Wachovia Dealer Services and First Tech Credit Union kicked off the Checkered Flag Night Sale, selling 99 vehicles in two lanes. 

On Wednesday, Brasher's Northwest hosted its signature Checkered Flag Sale. Over 425 Dealers were in attendance to bid on hundreds of units running in 8 lanes. Huge NASCAR style giveaway drawings in each lane increased the excitement in the lanes and kept bidders' hands in the air for a 65% sale. 

"Our Checkered Flag event was a great one," said a Larkin. "We appreciate all the buyers and sellers who were in attendance and who continue to so loyally support Brasher's Northwest Auto Auction."

And congratulations to the big winner of the event: Rickey Gehring of Austin's Affordable Autos, who won the Checkered Flag Ultimate Home Theater System -- complete with a 65" Flat Panel TV, surround sound, theater seating, Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3 and X-Box 360!" 

Brasher's Northwest Auto Auction holds a sale every Wednesday at 9 am. Its "World Famous" Specialty Auctions run on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month. National consignors include Bank of America Specialty, Bank of the West, GE Money, Key Bank, US Bank, Wells Fargo, Wachovia Dealer Services and National City Bank. All specialty units are also offered online via the Auction Pipeline, which provides auction customers with sales and market information as well as live, online bidding via Pipeline Simulcast.
