It's Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas at Plaza Auto Auction of Iowa

With snow in the forecast, splashes of red and green decorating the lobby and holiday music filling the air, Plaza Auto Auction of Iowa prepares for its annual Holiday Sale on Tuesday, December 19th. Owner Mark Greb reports that the Holiday Sale presents an ideal opportunity for dealers to buy themselves a gift, with a group of 22 Harley Davidsons crossing the block at the beginning of the sale. 

"We have a great sale planned for our 9th annual Holiday event," said Greb. "These Harleys are consigned by extremely motivated sellers, so we expect the sale to open with spirited bidding as our customers vie for the opportunity to drive away on one of these bikes!" 

The auction staff will also have a gift for every dealer attending the sale: an LED flashlight, a thoughtful as well as a practical tool for customers since the auction is held in the evening, starting at 6:30 pm. At the Holiday Sale, the auction will also serve cake and hot chocolate to ward off the cold temperatures. 

Greb reports that Plaza Auto Auction of Iowa has also introduced a "30-Day Delay" program this December which is proving popular with buyers. He explains that for $50 per vehicle purchased, the auction will hold the buyer's check for 30 days or until they call for the title.

"We're planning a special party sale on December 27th as our last sale of 2012, with a $1,000 cash giveaway at the end of the day. Then, we'll ring in the New Year on Thursday, January 3rd with our first sale of 2013, looking forward to a great year ahead." 

Plaza Auto Auction has distinguished itself as the largest evening sale in the Midwest, holding an auction on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. The auction offers over 500 vehicles for sale weekly, across five auction lanes with monthly specialty sales for trucks and motor sports.
