Auctions Work in Partnership with Buyers and Sellers Nationwide
by
Keith Lelux, ServNet President
We
have come through a tough year as an industry, but the latest reports
indicate that there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon. The economy is
showing signs of stabilizing, now that the automaker bankruptcies are
behind us and the government stimulus programs are in full swing. At the
retail level, we have seen gains in used vehicles sales in recent months,
and we expect to see renewed interest in new car sales, all of which bodes
well for renewed vigor in the market.
Throughout
these times of trial and challenge, ServNet auctions have continued to
work in partnership with buyers and sellers across the country. We are
pleased to report that the wholesale market is strong, as our auctions
report striking increases in attendance and good sales percentages. Even
with lower volumes, auto auctions have proven to be the place where market
value is established. As retail demand continues to grow, our customers
can rest assured that ServNet auctions will continue to be a superior
source for needed inventory.
As
independently owned and operated companies, ServNet Auctions have
experienced positive outcomes even in the face of economic challenges.
Well-capitalized and benefiting from a strong strategic plan that was put
in place well in advance of the economic downturn, our auctions remain
strong and viable, able to withstand the challenges of an uneasy market.
ServNet auctions have been moving forward, following through with capital
improvements, developing new programs, improving operating procedures and
retaining staff in order to provide our customers with the auction tools
they need to successfully remarket their vehicles.
The
ServNet Auction Group continues to grow, strengthening its position in
existing markets and adding auctions to make its brand of innovative,
superior service available in new ones. Visit a ServNet auction, and you
will find an impressive inventory of available vehicles in the lanes week
in and week out. In addition, ServNet auctions maintain a major presence
in the on-line arena, offering over 330,000 vehicles annually on more than
60 simulcast lanes. For all our auction customers, that translates into
fair value, superior service, and access to a national inventory of
quality used vehicles.
As
a group, ServNet auctions have pledged to work with their dealers to
support and strengthen the automotive remarketing economy. ServNet
auctions continue to serve as partners in the industry, working from
a position of experience and strength to help our customers work
through times of challenge, committed to providing experienced
service leading to positive net results.
