October Sale at Sparkling
City Auto Auction Packs Punch with Vehicle Giveaway
For the second time in as many
months, Sparkling City Auto Auction added a punch to its weekly sale
with a special giveaway. At the conclusion of the auction on October
28, customers crowded around the auction block as owner Wade Walker
drew the winning entry for a 2008 Polaris Ranger. Just two months
earlier, Sparkling City Auto Auction held a similar drawing, giving
away a brand new 2008 Ford Focus.
"We
saw such success with the Focus giveaway over the summer that we
decided follow that up with a Fall giveaway," said Walker.
"We chose an off-road vehicle, which proved just the right
choice for this time of year and this part of the country. Our
customers ooh'd and aah'd over the Ranger while it was displayed in
our lobby, and were excited to learn that they qualified for the
drawing every time they bought or sold a vehicle at the
auction."
Walker
explained that the promotion was started in September, and was based
on dealer attendance as well as a dealer's buying and selling
activity. At the conclusion of the promotional period, hundreds of
dealers had qualified for the drawing.

Takes Center Stage at Sparkling City Vehicle Giveaway
Dealers purchasing AmeriCredit vehicles at Sparkling
City Auto Auction's October 28th sale doubled their chances
to win the '08 Polaris Ranger given away at the end of the

"This
giveaway really helped boost the vehicle sales at Sparkling City
Auto Auction in September and October," said Walker. "We
wanted to surprise AmeriCredit by giving the Ranger away on their
sale day, and we added an extra incentive on the day of the drawing
by giving double entries to dealers buying from AmeriCredit. It was
great for our dealers, and focused extra attention on AmeriCredit's
vehicles."
Walker
reports that attendance and buying activity at the auction has
remained strong over the summer and autumn as a result of the two
vehicle giveaways.
"A
promotion like this benefits our entire customer base - larger
dealerships, smaller independent dealers, and our national
accounts," said Walker. "We have been so pleased with the
result that we are planning another big promotion, which we'll
announce at our first sale of 2009."
Sparkling
City Auto Auction is located in Robstown, Texas, just outside of
Corpus Christ, and serves the southeastern Texas region. Dealer
auctions are held each Tuesday at its new, modern 4 lane facility,
where consignments from dealers, fleet and lease companies and
financial institutions are offered each week. Sparkling City Auto
Auction is a member of ServNet, a premier group of independent auto
auctions from across the United States. The auction also
participates in Auction Pipeline, where customers may view detailed
condition reports, market report information and participate in
online sales.
