Auctions Perform for National Accounts
State Line is #1 in Nation for GM Operations
State
Line Auto Auction has received the 2007 GM Sponsored Auctions Operational
Award. After placing at the top of its region in the first three quarters
of 2007, State Line emerged as the national leader for the GM Operational
Excellence Award.
Mark
Mathews, Director of Used Vehicle Activities for General Motors, traveled
to the auction in Waverly, New York on May 23 to make a special award
presentation to owner Jeff Barber and members of his staff.
Mathews noted
that GM's Operational Award recognizes superior auction performance in a
number of areas, including penetration and per-unit profitability of GM
FrontLine Ready and GM Sponsored Plus vehicles, purchasing dealers ratio,
throughput and remote online purchases.

State
Line is a consistent performer for General Motors in the Northeast Region.
In addition to receiving GM's top national award for operational
excellence, State Line placed #1 in Performance for GM in the Northeast
Region in 2007. This is the second year running that State Line has performed
at the top of its region.
Auction
owner Jeff Barber reports that State Line has been hosting a General
Motors sale since March of 1990 at its Waverly, New York facility. It
holds a GM Sponsored Auction every other Thursday, and currently runs
between 450 and 700 vehicles per sale.
"We
extend our congratulations to the management and staff of State Line Auto
Auction," said Mathews. "We truly appreciate the hard work of
all the individuals working on our behalf at their facility. Their
consistency and attention to detail has distinguished this auction as the
leader in operations for General Motors in 2007, and I am happy to present
this award in acknowledgement of their efforts."
