Auction Employees
Honored at State Line A/A
for Twenty Years of Service
Tammy Murray and David
Corneby are the newest members of State Line Auto Auction's
"Twenty-Year Club". They are the seventh and eighth
employees to be so honored.
According to auction
owner Jeff Barber, both Tammy and David have been instrumental in
the growth enjoyed by State Line during the past two decades (the
auction opened in 1981). Tammy started as a part-time vehicle driver
and soon worked her way into a full-time position. One of her
first-full time tasks was marking vehicles in the lot prior to sale.
Her hard work and dedication allowed her to advance through the
office, spending a great deal of time in the dealer registration
department. Tammy now oversees the accounts receivable functions at
State Line, and she is a well-respected friend to the State Line
dealer family.
David started in the
vehicle reconditioning shop where he exhibited his great work ethic.
After a time, he progressed to management positions throughout the
shop. Soon after State Line received the contract to sell vehicles
for General Motors, David moved to an "inside" job
handling the factory vehicles, and was eventually promoted to the
position he holds now: General Motors Sponsored Auction Manager. He
is also known and respected by the State Line dealer community for
being a great service provider.
"Quite
simply, what makes State Line Auto Auction so successful is our
great staff," says Jeff Barber, State Line's owner. "Tammy
and David are much more than just employees: they really take our
business to heart, and both of them have always been available
to tackle whatever tasks are required. We have a culture around here
whereby everyone helps with whatever is needed, and Tammy and David
exemplify that attitude. Our dealers know that if they need
something, any of our staff will do their best to help them, and
Tammy and David are always right there on the front
line."
Barber continues:
"As the years go by, it is astounding to realize how many of us
have been here for so long. I hate to say it, but twenty years seems
like the blink of an eye. I am honored to have Tammy and David reach
this milestone. I hope to see at least twenty or thirty more
employees join them in State Line's Twenty Year Club!" .
