On Friday, June 14th, State Line Auto Auction celebrated its 43rd anniversary with a very large and festive sale. Special guest Tommy DeVito was in attendance and dealers were pleased and excited to meet and greet the NFL quarterback.
Auction President Jeff Barber spoke of DeVito’s appearance: “Tommy Cutlets” is very popular with our dealer base, since he spent most of his collegiate career at Syracuse University and he of course had a great rookie season with the New York Giants last year”.
“It was just a special wrinkle we added to go along with our anniversary sale event, and we know everyone enjoyed meeting Tommy. Our normal free chicken bar-b-cue evolved into free chicken cutlets in honor of Tommy’s famous passion for the dish.”
1,292 vehicles were offered, and 832 sold, for a conversion rate of 64%. Founded in 1981 by Harry and Zora Barber, Jeff’s parents, State Line ranks as New York State’s premier auto auction, owned and managed by the third generation of the Barber family. A charter member of ServNet, State Line looks forward to many more years of success by consistently offering “The Best in the Bid-NessÒ.”
